Every week, my brother would ask me the same question:
"What did you do this week that was productive?"
I came up from the ghetto. There were stretches where the honest answer was nothing. I was drinking. I was drifting. I wasn't doing a damn thing with my life. And my brother never let that slide — he'd call it exactly what it was.
But the weeks I did something — wrote a resume, applied for a job, took one real step forward — he'd look at me and say:
"You're a bad motherfucker."
That was the whole system. No participation trophies. No lectures. Just one question every week, and one title you had to earn.
In 2017, I lost my brother in a motorcycle accident.
After he passed, I noticed something: I couldn't stop saying it. Anyone doing the work — showing up, providing, building something — I was calling them a bad mofo, the same way he did. His words had become mine. So me and my wife built something to keep them alive. First one store, then another — everything we've built since carries the Bad MoFo name in some shape or form. This apparel line is part of that. It's how we honor him.
Here's the thing my brother understood: being a bad mofo has nothing to do with being loud, rich, or hard.
The doctor coming off a 12-hour shift. The lawyer in the gym before court. The construction worker on site before sunrise. The mom training in the garage before the kids wake up. The dad who shows up every single day, when it's easy and especially when it isn't. The person who used to be lost — and this week, did one productive thing.
Doctor. Lawyer. Cop. Nurse. Father. Mother. Student. Anyone out there being a genuinely good, productive human being when it would be easier not to be.
You're a bad motherfucker. That's what it means. That's who this brand is for.
Bad MoFo Apparel is casual wear, streetwear, and fitness gear built around one idea: wear the standard you hold yourself to. Heavyweight fleece. Embroidered logos, not prints. Made to be worn hard — in the gym, on the job, on the street.
Me and my wife stand behind every piece we put out — this is a family operation, built the same way my brother taught me to build everything: one productive week at a time.
So when you put this on, understand what you're wearing. It's not a logo. It's a question my brother used to ask me every week:
What did you do this week that was productive?
